Industrial knowledge and problem graphs

Before solving, map the problem.

Representing an industrial situation as a graph of problems, partial solutions and parameters, so that the contradictions blocking progress become visible and shareable.

FINDER, used by partners and students on the IDEAS platform, lets a team build such graphs together. Hundreds of graphs built over the years are a unique dataset on how engineers actually formulate problems.

We now study how these graphs can be built faster from documents, and how a machine can point at the contradictions a team has not yet seen.
